A top Iranian military commander vowed retaliation Friday for an airstrike that killed members of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard. General Hossein Salami said that "no threat will go unanswered." He spoke at the funeral of two generals and five other officials who died when an airstrike destroyed Iran's consulate in Damascus.
