Police officers from Everett, Washington on Friday arrested the mother of a 4-year-old boy, accusing her of killing him, the Everett Police Department said in a news release. Janet Garcia was arrested in Vancouver with help from deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Everett police said Garcia will be taken to the Snohomish County Jail on Friday evening, where she will face charges of first- and second-degree murder and first-degree assault of a child. The body of Garcia’s son, Ariel, was found along Interstate 5 in Pierce County outside Everett on Thursday, after disappearing under suspicious circumstances Wednesday morning.
